Why Choose Us?
Many admission consulting service in the market deceive students into thinking that the only way they can get through the admissions process is to know a secret loophole. They claim to have a secret source in the admission process. This is one of the biggest myths that we have demonstrated to be wrong by the quality and comprehensiveness of our services. While it is true that a former college admission officer should have a good understanding of grading values, many colleges have different criteria. By this, we mean that College A will not know everything about the admission policies and grading levels of College B, College C or College D, or vice versa. By not having former admissions officers and instead using admissions counselors, we have eliminated the misconception that all college admissions are the same. Our successful record in the admissions process speaks for itself. We have helped countless students enter Ivy League, state university and liberal arts college such as Columbia University, Yale , Middlebury College, Michigan State University, Miami University, University of Colorado in Boulder , American University, DePaul University and countless others!
Our service benefits students while engaging them in the admissions process. Not only do they work one on one with us, but they become part of their own admissions team. The philosophy of Ivy University Consulting is that you are a unique individual and we want the mindset to stand out by identifying what makes you unique based on your interests, experience and goals, while also giving you the same opportunity as any other student. While it may be true that your test scores will determine a small range of your strengths and weaknesses, neither SAT and ACT scores nor your GPA can reveal your character nor your potential. Our commitment is to help each student identify the qualities that make her/him special. As a result, we customize our work by locating colleges that are aligned with your particular strengths and interests. This helps to maximize the chances of acceptance at colleges of your choice.
Each high school has an admissions counselor and many of them have between 50-100 students. Given an average working week, each counselor can only devote approximately half an hour to each student. This is simply not enough time. If the average counselor only sees a student four times, this generally only covers brainstorming on available colleges, getting the student the requisite login information for arranging testing, and recommendation letters and grant. This leaves out some of the most important variables such as timelines to finish the critical steps in the application process, all aspect of what should be included in recommendation letters, as well as the process for appeal if you are rejected.
An independent counselor will be available with more hours to devote to each student since they normally take no more than three students at a time. This allows ample time to be allocated to their applicants. There is also more time for them to help with the application process, college admission essays (including working on drafts and the editing process), and other important criteria. Simply put, an independent counselor can give students the necessary time and attention that will be required for them to achieve their college goal. This is one of the qualities and services that distinguishes the work we do. Our results, speak for themselves.
